Seeds & Pulsed DC - Part 1
Harmful? But hey, but it can be used to insert sequences into your DNA!
Does anyone really think our electrical environment is safe and effective and has no harmful affects? Yes, MANY people think that. Of course the literature is filled with examples on both sides of the argument. I find it better to look at medical literature, where people are wanting to change our biology with pulsed DC fields. Here are three such papers on that:
Effect of pulsed electric fields on cell-cell-communication via gap junctions in cell-monolayers
The third one is particularly scary, as “they” are using pulsed electric fields to force new gene sequences into your DNA ! Yippee. The basic idea in all these techniques is that many fundamental cellular processes are governed by electric fields. Gap junction between cells open when they are hit by electric fields. That’s how your cell controls them. Your cell controls what DNA is admitted to the nucleus by applying electric fields to the nuclear membrane. This opens and closes the doorways. But exactly how & why the cell knows what voltages to apply & where… well, that is still a mystery. Ionic concentrations are very carefully adjusted in most cells, down to even micro adjustments needed as your blood becomes more & less acidic during your breathing cycle. The ion channels are voltage gated - a change in electric field inside the channel opens and closes the channel.
Why do some people refuse to believe in the harm of techno-pulsed-DC-fields? Just like religious experiences, and knowledge of extra-terrestrial life forms, this idea of harmful pulsed E-fields fall into the category of “I will only believe it if I experience it myself.” There is nothing wrong with that attitude - I just find it interesting where the attitude pops up. People will believe anything you wish about national politics, about wars going on the other side of the world, about what is going on inside stars, about salacious gossip. But consider that wi-fi is harmful?!? No, I need extraordinary personal proof!
Back to seeds, run one batch inside a pulsed field:
Luckily I have a cheap “DC” supply, with a very wavy value. The field is not as bad as I thought it would be. I was expecting a square wave. I put this field into a solenoid, and held a magnet up to the solenoid to feel the field by how the magnet pulsed between my fingers, and it felt very unpleasant. I guess it would have been even worse with a square wave.
I used hairy vetch seeds. After 5 days:
The one on the left is the control. The one on the right was between the 3V pulsed DC. The difference is obvious. I will post again when I get the square wave running.
The pulse frequency and voltage will probably be important. Have you tried with DC at different voltages? How about using scalars - eg pulsing through a non-inductive coil? Konstantin Meyl may give a lead on that. eg

Apparently they want to make french fries with pulsed potatoes.

There was a guy who made an electroporation rig to marinate meat with, of all things. He said it would allow you to suck in the marinade deep into the body of the meat in minutes rather than the overnight it usually took.

There's also heavy research into using it to replace subcutaneous injections. Of course for things like the vax it means they dip your hand into a pool of mRNA and whammo, instead of needing you to take a needle.
